I have not driven every other car, but I am extremely confident that one cannot do better for less than $60K total package. I suppose you either love or hate the exterior, but I love it a little more every time I look at it. This review is of a 2019 Genesis 3.3T Dynamic AWD. Almost everything about the car is a pro, but I will list the cons. The fuel tank is too small. I know it is a luxury sport sedan and I am not expecting miracles, but it has some of the worst gas mileage of anything in it's class. It does run fine below premium without any knocking thanks to the advanced ECU. I am seeing 19 MPG average if I'm not paying attention to it. 27 MPG on long distance travel. At lower speeds (59-64 MPH) on level ground I've seen as much as 35 MPG. I could live easier with the lack of economy if they had just given me a larger gas tank. Reviews says the back seat is cramped, and it is...if you are silly with the front seats. It is completely fine for a car this size if you have the front seats in a reasonably forward position. The seats have a crazy range of motion and its easy to enjoy it low and far back, but that's not great for the back seat space. I can raise it enough for my head to brush the roof liner, or low enough that only my head is visible through the side window. That's a crazy range of motion. That's it, two "cons." It is a luxury car with tesla like autopilot (but unlike Tesla, build quality is amazing) and whisper quiet interior that could be straight out of a Bentley. Drop it into sport mode, which makes a crazy difference, and you will wonder why you ever wanted a manual in a two seat sports car toy. I am happy they went with the torque converter transmission instead of DCT. I know it hurts the 0-60 time, but its more refined. It feels more adult; smooth. The car is quick. I'm not sure why anyone would want to go any faster. It can easily become reckless as is. White knuckle fun in no-time flat. The low RPM and consistent torque is something you just have to experience. It's always there. It feels like an extremely controlled RWD car even though it is AWD. You can get a little tire slide sideways at 40-50mph going around a gentle corner and punching the gas in sports mode, but it does not go wild. The AWD system is amazing. Heavy snow control and traction are laughably good. Sound system is fantastic. You can find Lexicon sound systems in Rolls-Royce. I could wish for wireless apple carplay, but alas, it was not a thing when this car was designed and the wired carplay and wireless charger both work great. The design put into this car is EVERYWHERE. Every surface is designed, not just filler. It's even beautiful underneath. It is a feat of engineering, and I am pumped to see what they give us next. I'm having a hard time imagining how it can be better. My first South Korean car has made me a convert. It may not be the BEST in every metric, but I think it is by far the most rounded and the best value, that is to say, you get a car as good for far less money. The only way to hope to do better may be to buy German, lifetime of expense, cars that I'm honestly not convinced offer anything over the G70 except for slightly faster race track times, and they do that at the cost of a lot of compromise.

If you are thinking about getting a G70, just do it!! You will not regret your decision, especially if you get the V6 3.3T Lambda engine. This car is fun, fast, and very well built. The craftsmanship and quality feel is amazing. Everything is real; if it looks like that material, it is that material, no fake stuff!! The engine and transmission is amazing. Although the engine is not a rev happy "over squared" design, it is ready at any notice to shoot up the RPMs and move. The Lambda V6 3.3T in this vehicle is by far one of the nicest engines I have driven. A lot of people complain about the 8-speed transmission being a little slow, but I think it shifts perfectly fine and crisp. The interior is built to last. If you don't require much, you will be perfectly at home with almost too much comfort. My favorite thing is the ventilated seats on sweaty days. My main focus of this review is how the G70 drives. As stated before, the engine has tons of power at any moment, is very responsive, and has tons of passing power/acceleration. No one will ride your butt in this car, just smash the gas and watch them disappear in the rear mirrors! It is amazing for highway travel. It hums at a low 1,500rpm @55mph, and about 1,800rpm @80mph. This engine will not scream at you for making it do its job. Not only is it a highway cruiser, but is super fun on the back roads. You almost always run out of real estate before you have to step on the brakes from accelerating (brakes are great too).I wouldn't say it has snap oversteer, but the front-end plows in first before you feel the rear slide out, so you can feel how hard you can push it. Maintenance is tricky, but doable. It requires 7.26qts of oil, which is a decent amount. But, if you are smart, you can get reasonably priced parts, as it is shares a lot of parts with Hyundai/Kia's. To change the oil, you have to remove some under panels, which is annoying, but reasonable. It does have a oil filter cartridge, no spin on type, not a huge fan of those. It also is pure GDI, so carbon build-up is possible on the valves. But with just those few complaints, everything is very accessible in the engine bay for a twin turbo V6. SUMMARY: You will mostly likely buy/lease this car and not want to let it go!

This is a great driving great looking car, it is perfect in almost always. The downside is that it is a two seater the back seats are comfortable for children only. The truck is small, may large golf bag fills it up and lastly the battery is located in the trunk under the matts, tools and spare tire.
