    I started in the car business while attending school at The Ohio State University back in 1995 with Toyota West in the used car department.  I enjoyed working for the privately owned dealership with Dan Hatfield.  I have always enjoyed selling, going back to elementary school competing for fund raising and earning prizes and eventually moving in high school over to working for Sears at Westland Mall. There I worked in the hardware, lawn and garden and sporting good departments until 1995.  I have enjoyed the auto business getting to experience some great brands and amazing customers and co-workers along the way.  I got my first general manager position back in 2003 at the Hatfield Kia dealership where I worked for 3 years before returning to Toyota West as the general manager.   During these years I learned a lot under a public company that had developed great training and mentorship programs, but I always wanted to get back to a privately owned group and Byers Auto had the reputation for great customer service and were known for taking care of their employees.  When they announced that they were moving their downtown Chevrolet dealership to my hometown of Grove City I hoped that I would one day get the opportunity to manage that store.  In 2016 that dream came true when I was hired to be the general manager for Byers Chevrolet.   On a more personal side I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my grandkids.

    I began my automotive career in 2011 after my tour of duty with the USMC and eventually made my way to Byer’s Chevrolet in 2020 as the GM warranty administrator. I became the service manager at Byer’s Chevrolet in 2022 and it has been a wonderful experience.
